Extreme Sandbox and Drive A Tank join forces to offer the ultimate thrill package: Dig and Destroy

HASTINGS and KASOTA, Minn. (Nov. 18, 2014) — Extreme Sandbox and Drive A Tank have teamed up to offer the ultimate thrill package for anyone who has ever longed to operate heavy duty construction and military equipment: Dig and Destroy. This limited time package offering allows users to not only drive or operate major league machinery, but also experience the challenges and exhilaration of navigating the vehicles through a series of obstacles and completing tasks that may include digging, dumping, shooting, crushing and more.

The perfect holiday gift for thrill seekers, the person who has everything, the hard-to-shop-for person on your list, or anyone who is looking for a truly unique and adventurous experience, the Dig and Destroy package cost $995 and includes:

  • Extreme Sandbox’s Ultimate Sandbox Adventure package: Professional instruction and three hours of equipment use with the user’s choice of two of these three items – excavator, bulldozer, skid steer. Normal package retail price is $495.
  • Drive A Tank’s 4 Star General package: Safety and History lesson, followed by professional instruction for driving two tanks, an FV433 Abbot Convoy Style, and a challenging drive in an FV432 APC combat style, using only the driver’s periscope. Plus, test fire three machine guns. Normal package retail price is $599.

The packages for each business can be used on different days. Extreme Sandbox is open year-round and its climate controlled equipment cabs ensure that customers remain comfortable in any season. Family, friends and other spectators can watch and take photos from indoor or outdoor viewing areas. Drive A Tank re-opens to the public in spring and will open for private and special events over winter.

“Extreme Sandbox and Drive A Tank both offer thrilling experiences for anyone who has ever thought it would be super cool to try operating large machinery,” said Extreme Sandbox founder and owner Randy Stenger. “We are also both located south of the Twin Cities area and we often exchange ideas about our businesses, and we realized it makes sense to join forces for a truly unique package that offers customers the ultimate thrill of operating construction and military equipment.”

“Don’t let the seemingly macho moniker or equipment intimidate you or make you think this is just a guy thing,” Stenger added. “Women also love the experience and they are often pleasantly surprised to learn that the equipment provides all the power to level the gender playing field. Some even find it empowering to learn just how well they can handle these mighty machines.”
